BESCOM floats tender to set-up 100 Electric Vehicle charging stations in Bengaluru

The Bangalore Electrical Supply Company (Bescom) has floated a tender inviting bids for setting up 100 Electric Vehicle charging stations at identified locations in Bengaluru City.

This Invitation for Bids, issued by BESCOM (Employer) is open to all firms including company/companies, Government recognized Research Organization from all eligible source country, Government owned Enterprises registered and incorporated in India under relevant ACT.

As per the tender document the bidder should be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) or should be authorized agency for OEM of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). If the Bidder is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) then they should have designed, manufactured, Supplied & installed at least 15 nos of EVSE cumulatively in India during FY 2015-16, FY 2016-17, FY 2017-18 & upto Sep-2018 cumulatively.

If the bidder is authorized agency of the OEM then the agency should have Supplied, installed and Commissioned at least 15 nos of EVSE in India during FY 2015-16, FY 2016-17, FY 2017-18 & upto Sep-2018 cumulatively.

Last Date for Tender Queries/Clarifications is 28th January 2019, while the last date for submission of the bid is    20th February 2019.

The scope of work under this tender is classified into following 4 categories:

a. Location survey, Estimation and Obtaining Work Orders from Concerned C, O&M Division.

b. Supply, Testing, Erection & Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) along with associated Civil & Electrical Works.

c. Maintenance (O&M) of the EVSE Infrastructure for 3 years.

Each station will have the capacity to charge three vehicles at once, and will be set up on campuses of government office .These 100 stations will provide a skeletal charging infrastructure in the city, which can later be built upon said CK Sreenath, DGM, smart grid and EV, Bescom speaking to TOI.
