Now You Can Find EV Charging Stations on Google Maps in India

Interestingly there aren’t much electric vehicles running in the country but search engine giant Google seems to have up the ante by updating its Maps. Now the popular navigation app Google Maps has started adding information about electric vehicle charging stations. This update will surely help electric vehicle owners in the country.

Google initially update the app in October last year, however the update was available in most western countries. Now, the search engine giant has rolled out the feature in India too. The updated app is only available for Android users.

With this update if electric vehicle owners find themselves in a situation where they are running low on charge, they can turn to the app for help and can easily look for the nearest compatible charging stations on Google Maps.

According to earlier reports EV users looking for charging stations only have to type keywords like ‘EV charging’ and ‘EV charging stations’ and the app starts showing stations that are closest to user’s location. It will show information like the type of ports it has, the charging speeds, and more so that you can pick the one that is compatible with your vehicle.
