Okinawa on Tuesday launched a new electric scooter in India named as Praise, at Rs 59,889.
This is the second electric scooter under the Okinawa’s stable after the Ridge . The company claims that the new scooter can hit top speed of 75kmph, making it fastest in the electric two-wheeler segment of the country. Moreover, the Okinawa Praise offers the best-in-class range of 170-200km on a single charge.
The company in a statement said its products are focused on low initial cost, lower running cost, less maintenance cost and zero pollution. The all news scooter from the house of Okinawa is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery pack and comes with advanced and safe charging system.
The 9kg battery can be charged while fitted in the scooter as well as separately. And it takes just 45 minutes to store 80% of the energy.
The battery has a lifespan of 2,000 cycles and the company is also providing 3-year replacement warranty on it.
The scooter is propelled by a high phase BLDC motor which is water resistant and comes with a few modes like Economy (35kmph), Sporty (65kmph) and Turbo (75kmph).

Okinawa Praise also comes loaded with features like LED lights, a fully-digital instrument console, and adjustable brake levers. Running on large 12-inch wheels, the scooter has dual gas charged rear shock-absorbers and telescopic front suspensions for a comfortable ride. Moreover, the safety features like unique dual front disc brakes, single rear disc brake, E-ABS (Electronic – Assisted Braking System) and a side-stand safety sensor makes it one of the most desirable options among the electric two-wheelers.

You can book the scooter for just Rs 2,000 at all the 100 dealerships across the country. The scooter will be available in three colour options — purple, golden and blue — with black highlights.
