JinkoSolar Supplies 5 MW solar modules to Juwi for Mesokomo Project in Greece

JinkoSolar has announced that its affiliate has supplied 5 MW of PV solar modules to Juwi Hellas S.A. for use in the Mesokomo Project in Northern Greece.

The Project was successfully connected to the grid in December 2018 and is owned by ETVA VIPE S.A..

Frank Niendorf, General Manager JinkoSolar Europe, said, “Juwi is an important European EPC client and we are very happy to expand our partnership with them in Greece. Greece is showing great growth potential and the Mesokomo Project demonstrates JinkoSolar’s strong reputation in the market and how increased collaboration between JinkoSolar and Juwi can create new opportunities for both parties.”

JinkoSolar recently announced that it supplied 55.7MW of high-efficiency modules to the Garissa Solar Plant, which is expected to be one of the largest solar  plants in central and eastern Africa once completed.

Located in Barki Village, Garissa County, Kenya, the solar plant is expected to be formally commissioned by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta. The solar plant is expected to strengthen Kenya’s rich solar energy resources, diversify its power generation mix, and reduce energy costs. Once completed, the solar plant will connect to the national grid and offer energy costs that are competitive with other sources.
